Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how nextlinecode ("we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with the monoABC mobile application ("App"). This policy is provided to meet the requirements of the Apple App Store, Google Play, and applicable privacy laws, including laws relating to children's privacy.
2. Developer and Contact
Developer: nextlinecode
App: monoABC
Privacy contact: nextlinecode@gmail.com
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise your privacy rights, please contact us at the email address above.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
monoABC is designed as a family-friendly educational app and does not require account registration with email or social login.
The App may store the following information locally on your device:
• Selected profile icon and background color
• Lesson progress, unlock level, and daily learning badges
• Optional ranking display name and country (if you choose to set one)
• A randomly generated app player identifier (UUID) used to sync rankings and backups
• An optional recovery code used to restore progress on a new device
Much of this information stays on your device. Some items are also sent to our servers as described below when you use ranking or backup features.
4. Information Sent to Our Servers
When you use online features, the App communicates with our ranking and backup API hosted by nextlinecode (on Vercel) and stores related data in Supabase Postgres:
• Ranking: country code, display name/alias, and category scores (English / Math)
• Backup & recovery: player identifier, recovery code, and a progress snapshot (lesson progress, unlock level, profile settings, recent daily badges, and ranking profile/scores)
We do not require your real name, email address, phone number, or precise location to use the App.
5. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not knowingly collect, request, or require the following from users:
• Legal name, email address, phone number, or mailing address
• Precise location data
• Photos, videos, audio recordings, or contacts for our own storage
• Government ID or payment card details (handled by Apple/Google if purchases are added later)
• Account passwords
We do not ask children for personally identifiable information for analytics.
6. How We Use Information
We use device-local and server-stored information only to:
• Save and restore learning progress
• Provide ranking leaderboards when you opt in with a display name
• Enable recovery-code backup/restore across devices
• Provide core App functionality and improve the learning experience
We do not sell personal information. We do not use App data for cross-app tracking.
7. Children's Privacy
monoABC is intended for use by children and families under parental supervision. We are committed to protecting children's privacy and complying with applicable children's privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where applicable.
Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of the App, manage device-level controls, and keep recovery codes in a safe place. Ranking display names should not include a child's real name or other identifying information.
8. Analytics
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate usage (for example, which screens are opened and whether learning activities are completed). Analytics events are designed to avoid personal identifiers such as names, emails, or recovery codes.
On iOS we configure Analytics without App Tracking / advertising ID support. Analytics data is processed by Google under Google's privacy policies. You can limit related advertising/analytics controls in your device settings where available.
9. Advertising
Some screens display advertisements through Google AdMob (banner ads and optional rewarded ads). AdMob may collect device advertising identifiers and related diagnostic information subject to Google's policies and your device settings.
For family audiences, we configure ads to request non-personalized ads where supported. You can reset your advertising ID in your device settings. Rewarded ads are optional (for example, unlocking one additional lesson level).
10. Third-Party Services and App Stores
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those platforms may collect information according to their own privacy policies.
We also use:
• Vercel — to host our API and this privacy policy site
• Supabase — to store ranking and backup data
• Google AdMob — to show ads
• Google Analytics for Firebase — to measure aggregate App usage
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored App data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear App storage.
Server-side ranking and backup data associated with a player identifier/recovery code is retained while needed to provide those features. To request deletion of server-side data, contact nextlinecode@gmail.com with your recovery code or ranking display name and country. We will respond within a reasonable time as required by applicable law.
If you contact us for assistance, we retain correspondence only as long as necessary to respond.
12. Data Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled by the App and our servers (including HTTPS and restricted database access). However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your recovery code private.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information, and to object to certain uses. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To make a privacy request, contact us at nextlinecode@gmail.com.
14. International Users
The App may be used in multiple countries. Server infrastructure may process data in regions where our providers operate. Applicable local privacy laws may provide you with additional rights.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide the revised policy in the App and on this website. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, except where additional consent is required by law.
